Shielding Barium Sulfate sand is a specialized high-density radiation shielding material that plays a vital role in constructing protective structures for nuclear medicine, industrial radiography, nuclear power plants, and research laboratories. Its shielding principle is based on the physical law that a material's attenuation of radiation (particularly X-rays and gamma rays) is proportional to its density and the atomic number of its constituents.
