Potassium dihydrogen phosphate is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula KH2PO4. It has deliquescence and melts into a transparent liquid when heated to 400 ℃. After cooling, it solidifies into an opaque glassy potassium metaphosphate. Stable in air, soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol. In industry, it is used as a buffer and culture agent, as well as a seasoning for synthesizing sake as a bacterial culture agent.
