 Ammonium persulfate, is an ammonium salt with the chemical formula (NH4) 2S2O8 and a molecular weight of 228.201. It has strong oxidizing and corrosive properties.
Ammonium persulfate is widely used in the battery industry. It is also used as an initiator for polymerization, a desizing agent in the fiber industry, and as a surface treatment agent for metal and semiconductor materials, an etching agent for printed circuits. It is also widely used in oil reservoir fracturing for oil extraction, flour and starch processing, oil and fat industry, and in the photography industry to remove sea waves.
